Isaac Hyman

Founder & CEO

Isaac Hyman founded HiFlyer Digital after a decade-plus working in-house on the retention side of ecommerce, most recently as a VP of Retention overseeing email, SMS and CRM programs for large multi-brand retailers. His stated track record includes managing subscriber lists exceeding 10 million contacts and generating, by the firm's count, roughly $425M in email and SMS revenue across 100-plus brands over his career. He has also hired, managed and fired a number of retention agencies himself, an experience he cites as the direct impetus for starting HiFlyer: he wanted to build the kind of vendor he had struggled to find as a client.

The agency's thesis follows from that background. Hyman argues that most email and SMS shops operate from courses and templated Klaviyo flows rather than real operator experience at ten-figure retailers, and that the gap between 'sending emails' and running a profitable retention program is where most DTC brands leak revenue. HiFlyer positions itself as ESP-agnostic but Klaviyo-fluent, deliberately refuses to take on paid media or CRO work, and markets a proprietary framework it calls the S.P.A.M. strategy.

Beyond the agency, Hyman is an author, podcast host (Retention Nation) and speaker at industry events including eTail, PostFunnel and the Bluecore Summit. The team has since grown to roughly eight named staff across strategy, creative, campaign management and operations, headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey, and serves a reported 100-plus retail and DTC clients.

Editorial

Editor’s take

HiFlyer Digital positions itself narrowly around email and SMS retention for DTC ecommerce retailers, citing 150+ clients and $425M in generated revenue. The founder is a former VP of retention, which anchors the positioning. The site emphasizes playbooks, advanced automations, and segmentation over commoditized email sends. Claims are substantial (1B+ emails sent, specific revenue figures) though not independently verified on the site.

What they do

Services

Email Marketing Management

Full done-for-you or done-with-you execution of the Klaviyo (or other ESP) program for ecommerce retailers, including a 12-month campaign calendar personalized to the brand's promotional rhythm, merchandising cycles and customer segments rather than generic holiday sends.

SMS & Push Marketing

Layered onto email rather than run as a standalone channel, with attention to list growth compliance, segmentation and message cadence so SMS complements flows instead of cannibalizing them. Push notifications are added for brands with app ecosystems.

Advanced Flows & Automations

Builds out beyond the standard welcome, abandoned cart and post-purchase sequences into behavioral and predictive journeys, browse and category-specific flows, winback ladders and replenishment logic tuned to each retailer's average order cycle.

Retention Strategy & Segmentation

Applies the in-house S.P.A.M. framework to turn one-time buyers into repeat customers, with custom RFM-style segmentation, churn diagnostics and a focus on growing email and SMS as a percentage of total store revenue (commonly targeting the 25-30% range).

Creative, Copy & Design

In-house creative team produces on-brand email and SMS creative from concept to send, with emphasis on customer-voice copy and modular templates designed for ecommerce merchandising rather than newsletter-style blasts.

Weekly Strategy & Reporting

Weekly or bi-weekly client calls with on-demand Slack access, plus monthly reporting that goes beyond opens and clicks into revenue per recipient, flow-level contribution and list health metrics, paired with a rolling 12-month roadmap.
